Last updated: June 24, 2026These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pantry Beef mobile application (the "App") operated by POMBAK ("we," "us," or "our").By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.---## 1. EligibilityYou must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the App only with permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.The App is not intended for children under 13.---## 2. The AppPantry Beef is a barcode-scanning app that retrieves public product information, applies our ingredient rubric, and displays editorial verdicts (for example, CLEAN, MEH, or SKIP) and pantry grades. Optional Premium features include a full ingredient breakdown and multi-member household profiles.No account is required for basic use. Most data is stored locally on your device.---## 3. Not medical or professional adviceIMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLYPantry Beef verdicts, ingredient flags, pantry grades, and all other content in the App are editorial opinions based on our published rubric applied to third-party product data. - Not regulatory determinations, safety certifications, or endorsements
- Not a substitute for reading product labels, consulting a registered dietitian, or seeking advice from a licensed physicianProduct data comes primarily from Open Food Facts, a community-maintained database that may be incomplete or contain errors. We do not lab-test products.Do not rely on the App to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. If you have food allergies, medical dietary needs, or health concerns, consult qualified professionals and always verify ingredients on product packaging before consumption or use.See Settings → How we score in the App for our methodology and disclaimers.---## 4. LicenseSubject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use.You may not:- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by law
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App
- Use the App to build a competing product or service
- Remove or alter proprietary notices
- Use the App in violation of applicable lawApple App Store terms also apply to your download and use on iOS devices.---## 5. Subscriptions and purchases (Pantry Beef Premium)### 5.1 Premium featuresPantry Beef Premium ("Premium") may include, among other features:- Full ingredient breakdown on scan results
- Up to six household member profiles with individual dietary restrictionsFeature availability may change. Free-tier features remain available without purchase.### 5.2 Billing through ApplePremium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. We do not process payment card data directly.Prices, trial length, and billing period (for example, monthly or annual) are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Apple displays the final price you will be charged.### 5.3 Free trialsPremium may include a free trial (for example, 3 days on the primary offering, or a separate promotional trial such as 7 days on a win-back offer). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and Apple charges your Apple ID account at the then-current price.We may send an optional local notification on your device reminding you before a trial ends. This requires notification permission, which you may deny.### 5.4 Auto-renewalSubscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.### 5.5 How to cancel or manageYou can cancel or manage subscriptions at any time in:iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Pantry BeefDeleting the App does not cancel your subscription.### 5.6 Restore purchasesUse Restore purchases on the paywall screen to restore Premium on a new device signed into the same Apple ID.### 5.7 RefundsRefund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies. Contact Apple Support or reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.---## 6. Acceptable useYou agree not to:- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive feedback
- Attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security
- Scrape, bulk-query, or abuse Open Food Facts or our systems
- Misrepresent App verdicts as medical, regulatory, or scientific factWe may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or harms other users or our services.---## 7. User content and local dataInformation you enter (household names, restrictions, scan history) is stored on your device. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for securing your device.When you share verdict cards or other content through your device's share sheet, you control what is shared and with whom.---## 8. Third-party services and dataThe App relies on third-party services including Open Food Facts (product data), Apple (payments), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Sentry (crash reporting). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.Open Food Facts data is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Our rubric, scoring logic, and App design are our proprietary work. See our Privacy Policy for details on data processing.---## 9. Intellectual propertyThe App, including its design, rubric, text, graphics, logos, and software (excluding third-party open data and open-source components), is owned by GenZForge or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws."Pantry Beef" and associated branding are our trademarks. You may not use them without written permission.Open Food Facts is a separate project. Product images and data may be subject to separate licenses as noted in the App.---## 10. DisclaimersTHE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:- THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
- PRODUCT DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT
- VERDICTS WILL MATCH YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR NEEDSSome jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those cases, our warranties are limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.---## 11. Limitation of liabilityTO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GENZFORGE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR PREMIUM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages; in those cases, the above limits apply only to the extent permitted by law.---## 12. TerminationYou may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App.Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 10–12, and 14) will survive.---## 14. Governing law and disputesThese Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.For users in the EEA/UK, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights under local law.Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Apple-specific termsIf you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:- These Terms are between you and GenZForge, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- In the event of failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property infringement.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.---## 17. General- Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

- Most data stays on your device. Household profiles, scan history, and preferences are stored locally on your phone unless you delete the App or clear its data.
- We do not operate a user database. We do not maintain our own servers that store your personal profile or scan history.
- Limited third-party services. We use a small number of service providers for crash reporting, subscriptions, product lookups, and (optionally) local notifications. See Section 5.---## 3. Third-party servicesWe share limited information with the following categories of providers:### 5.1 Open Food FactsWhen you scan a barcode, the App sends the barcode number to the Open Food Facts API to retrieve public product information (ingredients, brand, etc.). We do not receive your full payment card number. - Restart onboarding in Settings (this clears persona/goals/paywall state but not scan history)
- Deny camera or notification permissions in iOS Settings
- Delete all local App data by uninstalling the App### 7.2 SubscriptionsManage or cancel Premium subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.### 7.3 Privacy rights (EEA/UK, California, and similar laws)Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.Because most Pantry Beef data is stored locally on your device and we do not maintain a central user account database, the fastest way to delete your data is usually to uninstall the App or clear its storage.For requests related to data held by our service providers (for example, Sentry or RevenueCat), contact us at [email protected] and we will assist or direct you as appropriate.California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Dietary restriction selections and scan history may qualify as sensitive personal information when linked to you. We use this information only to provide the App's features. You may contact us to exercise applicable rights.EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our legal bases for processing include: (a) contract — to provide the App and Premium features you request; (b) legitimate interests — to maintain security, fix bugs, and improve reliability; and (c) consent — where required for optional permissions (such as notifications) or sensitive data you choose to enter. ChildrenPantry Beef is intended for users 13 years of age and older.
